How to get You Baby on a Baby Schedule
I can remember it like it was yesterday. No one prepared me for those sleepless nights. As a first-time mom, I felt confused and exhausted, and thought to myself, I CAN’T go one more night on just 2-3 hour increments of sleep. I had to figure out something or I was going to lose my mind. Well, not literally but your body reacts in different ways when it lacks an efficient amount of sleep. II was just done….like stick a fork in me done.
I remember sitting on the floor in Barnes and Noble reading every book on the shelf to figure out what I needed to do to get my son to sleep. Was I doing something wrong? Was this normal for babies? I needed answers and that’s when I came across E.A.S.Y. I’m not saying this will work for everyone but it saved me. Noobmommy was the miracle I was looking for. It was the miracle formula I needed and I share this to help any other parents that can relate.
So what is EASY? It stands for Eat, Awake, Sleep, Your Time. There is a cheat sheet on the website that I used to keep me on task. As the baby grows, the amount of time increases and before you know it, the schedule not only provides YOU a routine but also the BABY. While the first weeks mom and baby are adjusting, a routine like Noobmommy can slowly be introduced. Two tips— first, when baby sleeps, you sleep. While the Y is ‘your time’, don’t forget the baby will need to eat or be awake before you know it, so don’t worry about those dirty dish and get some much needed rest! Second tip—the schedule will likely need adjustment. Don’t stress about following the schedule to a tee. Give yourself some grace.
